raise — send a signal to the executing process
int raise(int sig);
The functionality described on this reference page is aligned with the
ISO C standard. Any conflict between the requirements described here
and the ISO C standard is unintentional. This volume of
POSIX.1‐2017 defers to the ISO C standard.
The raise() function shall send the signal sig to
the executing thread or process. If a signal handler is called, the
raise() function shall not return until after the signal handler

shall be returned and errno shall be set to indicate the error.
The raise() function shall fail if:
