Thus the document entity may be spread among several files; for example, the SGML declaration, prolog and document instance set could each be in a separate file\&. If no system identifiers are specified, then onsgmls will read the document entity from the standard input\&. A command line system identifier of \- can be used to refer to the standard input\&. (Normally in a system identifier, <OSFD>0 is used to refer to standard input\&.)
