This command opens the Nix expression of a derivation in an
editor. The filename and line number of the derivation are taken from
its \f(CRmeta.position\fR attribute. Nixpkgs\(cq \f(CRstdenv.mkDerivation\fR sets
this attribute to the location of the definition of the
\f(CRmeta.description\fR, \f(CRversion\fR or \f(CRname\fR derivation attributes.

The editor to invoke is specified by the \f(CREDITOR\fR environment
variable. It defaults to \f(CRcat\fR. If the editor is \f(CRemacs\fR, \f(CRnano\fR,
\f(CRvim\fR or \f(CRkak\fR, it is passed the line number of the derivation using
the argument \f(CR+<lineno>\fR.
