It can be used to force certain actions of MooseFS master(s), like saving metadata or changing leadership. When no action (options \fB-r\fP, \fB-l\fP or \fB-s\fP) is defined, the tool will just display info about the master(s) current state(s). .SH OPTIONS .TP \fB\-v\fP print version information and exit .TP \fB\-h\fP print usage information and exit .TP \fB\-x\fP produce more verbose output .TP \fB\-d\fP (pro only) dry run (print info, but do not change anything) .TP \fB\-f\fP (pro only) force electing not synchronized follower; see NOTES .TP \fB\-r\fP (pro only) try to resolve the master states situation; usually selects one of the followers and sets its state to ELECT if no elects or leaders are present .TP \fB\-l\fP (pro only) try to change the role of the master with given IP to leader; .TP \fB\-c\fP (pro only) run configuration consistency check; if any inconsistencies are present, they will be reported via syslog .TP \fB\-s\fP force metadata store or (pro only) metadata check on given master group (pro version requires specifying a mode, possible values: \fBL\fP - LEADER only, \fBF\fP - FOLLOWERS only, \fBA\fP - all servers with CRC check, \fBC\fP - all servers CRC check only, no metadata is stored on disk) .TP \fB\-B\fP local address to use for master connections (default: *, i.e. default local address) .TP \fB\-H\fP use given host to find your master server(s) (default: mfsmaster) .TP \fB\-P\fP use given port to connect to your master server(s) (default: 9419) .SH NOTES .PP Options \fB-s\fP,\fB-r\fP and \fB-l\fP are mutually exclusive .PP Option \fB-f\fP can be used only with option \fB-r\fP .PP Option \fB-d\fP can be used only with option \fB-r\fP or \fB-l\fP .PP Option \fB-f\fP shouldn't be used unless it is necessary in situations when not all master servers defined in DNS are connected (i.e. after a crash when one of the master machines is offline). In an environment where all master machines are present, the leader should be picked automatically. .SH "REPORTING BUGS" Report bugs to . .SH COPYRIGHT Copyright (C) 2025 Jakub Kruszona-Zawadzki, Saglabs SA This file is part of MooseFS.
