.nh .TH "GT-EXTENSION" "1" "Nov 2026" "gitea-cli" "gitea-cli Manual" .SH NAME gt-extension - Manage gt extensions .SH SYNOPSIS \fBgt extension [flags]\fP .SH DESCRIPTION Install, run and remove extensions: executables named gt-NAME that run as gt NAME. .PP Extensions come from repositories on Gitea instances, or as GitHub CLI extensions named gh-NAME from github.com; gt runs the gh extensions that do not depend on GitHub's own APIs. Built-in commands always win over an extension of the same name; gt extension exec runs it anyway. .PP gt passes the global flags --host, --repo and --user before the extension's name on as GITEA_CLI_HOST, GITEA_CLI_REPO and GITEA_CLI_USER, runs it in --cwd, accepts --no-input and --yes, refuses other global flags, and passes everything after its name on unchanged. Extensions do not get your Gitea token unless you allowed it at install. See gt help extensions for the security model. .SH OPTIONS \fB-h\fP, \fB--help\fP[=false] help for extension .SH OPTIONS INHERITED FROM PARENT COMMANDS \fB--cwd\fP="" Working \fBdirectory\fR for repository discovery .PP \fB--debug\fP[=false] Log the method, URL, status, and duration of each HTTP request to stderr .PP \fB--host\fP="" Gitea instance \fBURL\fR, including any base path .PP \fB--interactive\fP[=false] Allow prompts with machine output .PP \fB--no-input\fP[=false] Disable prompts and implicit editor/browser interactions .PP \fB--sudo\fP="" Perform API requests as this \fBuser\fR (requires an administrator account) .PP \fB--user\fP="" Account \fBname\fR on the selected instance .SH SEE ALSO \fBgt(1)\fP, \fBgt-extension-browse(1)\fP, \fBgt-extension-create(1)\fP, \fBgt-extension-exec(1)\fP, \fBgt-extension-install(1)\fP, \fBgt-extension-list(1)\fP, \fBgt-extension-remove(1)\fP, \fBgt-extension-search(1)\fP, \fBgt-extension-upgrade(1)\fP
