NAME

ftpd - File Transfer Protocol server.

SYNOPSIS

ftpd [OPTION...]

DESCRIPTION

File Transfer Protocol daemon.

-4, --ipv4: restrict daemon to IPv4
-6, --ipv6: restrict daemon to IPv6
-a, --auth=AUTH: use AUTH for authentication
-A, --anonymous-only: server configured for anonymous service only
-d, --debug: debug mode
-D, --daemon: start the ftpd standalone
-l, --logging: increase verbosity of syslog messages
--non-rfc2577: neglect RFC 2577 by giving info on missing users
-p, --pidfile[=PIDFILE]: change default location of pidfile
-q, --no-version: do not display version in banner
-t, --timeout=TIMEOUT: set default idle timeout
-T, --max-timeout=MAX_TIMEOUT: set maximum value of timeout allowed
-u, --umask=VAL: set default umask

AUTH can be one of the following:

default: passwd authentication
-?, --help: give this help list
--usage: give a short usage message
-V, --version: print program version

Mandatory or optional arguments to long options are also mandatory or optional for any corresponding short options.
